NICHOLAS X BENT: ISOLATION OF WILDNESS

October 22, 2022 - January 28, 2023

In isolation of wildness, nicholas x bent offers a visual discussion about the last of the hedgerows and wetlands in Grey Bruce region. His photographs are captured in motion in a variety of ways, including from the window of a moving vehicle or while walking along a field. The resulting monochromatic images exalt a hand-drawn, ephemeral quality that captures the spirit of the subject matter and acts as a reminder of their vulnerability and impermanence.

GROWTH RINGS: PART ONE

October 22, 2022 - January 28, 2023

Growth Rings is a two-part series that places Tom Thomson's woodland sketches in conversation with a cross section of works by artists of subsequent generations, revealing how conceptions of nature are heavily rooted in historical, cultural, and personal worldviews.
